Safety always comes first here at Sharpline, and we’re here to be your resource this Spring Break to make sure you get home healthy and happy.

  1. Drink Responsibly, Captain’s Orders

Monitor your alcohol intake. Be sure that you don’t drink more than you can handle. Remember that the less hydrated you are, the more damage alcohol does to your system. Being on the beach can exacerbate the negative effects of alcohol, especially dehydration.

  1. Buddy Up

Don’t go anywhere alone. Your friends want you safe as much as you want that for them. Not only will you get someone to share the awesome stories of Spring Break with, but they’ll keep you from ending up alone someplace you don’t want to be. Leave no one behind.

  1. Keep an Eye on Your Drink

This is a very simple rule. Your drink is only yours when it’s in your hand, if you lose sight of it, that drink is now someone else’s. If, even once, you fail to maintain eye contact with your drink, you have no idea what someone may have put into it. There’s always another drink, the loss of this one isn’t worth the risk.

  1. Eat

We know this may sound strange with all the other suggestions we’ve put here but it is no less important. Eating before drinking can slow the speed at which your body processes alcohol, making it less likely you’ll get sick and allow the alcohol to hit you slower. This will help you limit how much you drink, as you can monitor the changes in your level of inebriation better.

  1. Drink Responsibly

We know we’ve said this before, but it bears repeating. The easiest way to stay safe is to stay out of trouble in the first place. Know your limits and pace yourself. There’s no point in having fun over Spring Break if you don’t remember it when you get home.

We hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break. Be careful and have fun!
